Welcome Chaplain Duane Terpstra (The Broward Bridge) and Ralph Minister (The Lake City Bridge)!
Duane Terpstra grew up in Western Michigan and graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He holds a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Public Administration. In 2008, Duane responded to a call to pursue ministry and received three years of training through the Leadership Development Network.  In January of 2011, he was ordained as a pastor within the Christian Reformed Denomination. Duane is married to Cindy and has two grown children: Jason and Cassie.

With a call from God to minister to the incarcerated, Chaplain Minster began his journey obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Central Bible College in Missouri. He continued his studies by earning his Master of Arts in Biblical Literature and Master of Divinity at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He was ordained with the Assemblies of God in 1987 and began a career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) in 1988. During his 20 year tenure with the FBOP Chaplain Minster worked in seven institutions serving offenders in various settings. He has committed himself to assisting ex-offenders through re-entry partnerships with faith-based community organizations.
